New York Event Caps $500k Fundraising Campaign

In mid January, the last of a flurry of winter parties took place in New York City as part of the St. Luke Foundation for Haiti’s annual “All for One” fundraising campaign. On that evening, more than 250 St. Luke supporters from around the country honored Madame Marie Fenestor, the director of nursing at St. Luke’s Hospital.

Host Kenneth Cole generously donated his event venue, The Garage, for the evening. Supermodel Adriana Lima and soccer star Jozy Altidore lent their starpower to the evening as well. After guests had the opportunity to meet and mingle, browse the silent auction, and read more about St. Luke’s work, the hosts made a few remarks before introducing Father Rick Frechette, who shared the importance of St. Luke’s mission to “bring everyone to the banquet of life.” Then Madame Fenestor was presented with a commemorative plaque to honor her contributions and achievements in service to St. Luke. She also shared a few words with the crowd. Jemima Douyon, a St. Luke ambassador, translated.

The evening raised more than $165,000 for St. Luke, part of the $276,956 fundraising total of the All for One parties across the country.

The All for One Christmas Parties are an annual opportunity for friends to spread the word about St. Luke by hosting gatherings—small, large or even virtual. By sharing the message of St. Luke’s work and approach, we reach new friends and make new connections that enhance our work in Haiti. Each year, an anonymous donor matches up to $250,000 of the campaign’s fundraising totals, which means this year’s campaign topped $500,000.

The foundation is grateful for the generous support of event sponsor BNY Mellon.
