The violent earthquake that shook our country

January 12, 2010 - January 12, 2020 It's already been almost a decade since a deadly earthquake sowed mourning in our Haitian society. The violent earthquake that shook our country has left its mark on the population already weakened by violence, poverty and by repeated natural disasters (hurricanes, floods, erosion, etc.).

When Haiti was devastated by the infamous 2010 earthquake, we were fortunate to find many partners and friends who came here to help us, to care for the injured, the sad, and the thousands of children who could not find their mothers. They came to help save the dying and bury the dead. They came not only to share food, clothes, water, but also to share tears and share hope.

For all of us in Haiti, our staff, students and patients, the 10th anniversary is not only an opportunity for us to honor the memory of the countless dead, but also to thank all our loyal friends and international partners especially to the Francesca Rava Foundation, Civil Protection, Marina Militare who came to support us in those vital 72 hours  after the disaster. We are also very grateful to all our partners who have helped us to build schools, homes, communities, clinics and provide emergency aid in times of necessity. We have come along way since January 12th 2010. With your continued support and dedication, we hope to go further to provide the best of services  to as many vulnerable people through education, community development projects and life-saving healthcare as possible.

We are always very grateful to you all.
