The St Luke Foundation announces to the general public and to the Haitian population that one of its employees, Mrs. MAGLOIRE Sherley, member of our Educational Council, has been kidnapped and missing since January 22, 2021. She was taken by unidentified and armed individuals, around 7:30 PM, in the town of Croix des Bouquets.

Following this crime against humanity, the St Luc Foundation regrets to inform you that:

  • All activities not essential to the administrative functioning of our 36 Academic Institutions are suspended from January 25 to 26, 2021.

  • It intends to close the doors of its 36 educational institutions, its 2 hospitals and its 7 satellite health centers, including the FrancisVille production center and outreach programs; from Wednesday January 27, 2021 on, if the kidnappers do not release Ms. MAGLOIRE unharmed by January 25, 2021.

The St Luke Foundation takes this opportunity to let the kidnappers know that their meager financial resources will not be spent to pay the ransom for this criminal act of which the employee is the victim.
